--- ## Description This award honors outstanding research in the field of Growth and Development and Craniofacial Orthopedics, with a focus on innovative approaches to orthodontic and orthopedic correction of skeletal discrepancies. The competition is designed to foster collaboration between clinicians and researchers, encourage impactful advancements, and promote new strategies for modifying or harnessing craniofacial growth. The award is presented at the IADR General Annual Session & Exhibition, following a competitive selection process involving abstract submission, online judging, and research presentation. --- ## Due Dates - Applications Open: July 14, 2025 - Abstract Submission Deadline: October 22, 2025 Finalists will be notified after the abstract review process, and the competition will be held before the IADR General Session in March 2026. --- ## Funding Amount - One winner receives a $700 cash prize and a Certificate of Recognition. - Remaining finalists receive a Certificate of Excellence. - Award is presented annually at the IADR General Session. --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be current members of both the International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) and the Orthodontics Research Group (ORG). - Open to faculty, post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, dental residents, and dental students at any career stage. - Abstracts must relate to Growth and Development and Craniofacial Orthopedics research. - Abstracts must be 300 words or less, structured with Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion. - Applicants may only apply to one competition sponsored by the Orthodontics Research Group per year. - Not eligible: Current officers of the IADR Orthodontics Research Group and previous award winners (can be listed as co-authors). --- ## Application Process - Submit an abstract (≤300 words) online via the [IADR abstract submission portal](https://www.iadr.org/2026iags) and select the Growth and Development Award in Orthodontics Research Group option. - Abstracts should clearly present innovation in the relevant field. - Only one submission per applicant to Orthodontics Research Group competitions. - Abstracts are reviewed by the IADR scientific committee.
