Description
Growth Through Agriculture (GTA) is a Montana Department of Agriculture grant and loan program created by the Montana Legislature in 1987. The seven-member Agriculture Development Council administers the program to strengthen and diversify Montana’s agricultural industry through innovative business improvements and the commercialization and marketing of new agricultural products.
GTA supports practical, near-term projects using new or alternative technologies, practices, or organizational arrangements to expand agricultural development, economic activity, employment, and small business opportunities. Projects should primarily add value to Montana agricultural products and offer prospects for commercial success. Supported activities include equipment purchases, construction, professional and technical consulting, travel, advertising and promotion, supplies, communications, and data processing.
