This award recognizes and supports first-generation college students pursuing graduate degrees (master’s or doctoral) in exercise physiology, sports science, kinesiology, sports nutrition, or exercise psychology. In addition to research funding, recipients receive a year-long, one-on-one mentorship with a GSSI scientist and complimentary registration to the ACSM Annual Meeting. The program is designed to empower emerging leaders who are advancing both their academic journeys and the broader field of human performance science.
