The Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Armenian Communities Department awards short-term travel grants to qualified students, early-career academics and researchers in Armenia. The programme supports participation in international conferences, seminars and short courses, as well as research trips abroad related to applicants’ fields of study. Its goal is to foster academic interaction and the exchange of knowledge and ideas.
All research fields are eligible. In 2026, priority is given to the humanities and social sciences, with special consideration for research related to environmental sustainability and climate change. Grants primarily support short-term travel, although exceptional research or study visits lasting up to three months may be considered.
