Description
This grant opportunity from the American Heart Association (AHA) is designed for early career researchers who wish to leverage the extensive Get With the Guidelines® (GWTG) clinical registry datasets to investigate and address critical gaps in the implementation of care for patients with cardiovascular disease and stroke. Grantees will gain hands-on experience using the AHA Precision Medicine Platform—a cloud-based, secure analytics environment—to analyze real-world hospital data, formulate research questions, and generate evidence aimed at improving clinical practice and patient outcomes.
Projects must use one of the GWTG datasets (Atrial Fibrillation, Coronary Artery Disease, Stroke, or Heart Failure) and focus on disparities, treatment patterns, or outcomes in cardiovascular care. The program emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and the use of advanced analytic tools, and is intended to foster the next generation of cardiovascular researchers.
