Description
The Texas Parks & Wildlife Department’s Habitat and Angler Access Program brings Inland Fisheries Division biologists together with local partners to improve fishing across Texas. It supports freshwater fish habitat restoration and enhancement, bank and shoreline angler access, or projects combining both. Work takes place on public creeks, rivers, ponds, and lakes.
Projects may address degraded habitat, improve places to fish from shore, or connect habitat improvements with better access for anglers. The program has supported work such as fishing piers, native vegetation restoration, shoreline stabilization, and fish habitat structures.
