    Description

Hagley Museum and Library’s Exploratory Research Grants support one-week visits by scholars who believe its research collections could benefit their projects but need to examine the materials on-site before committing to further research. The visits help researchers determine whether the holdings warrant an application for a Henry Belin du Pont Research Grant.

The program gives priority to junior scholars pursuing innovative projects that expand on existing scholarship. Proposals must identify potentially pertinent Hagley collections and explain their relationship to the project’s scope and the scholarship it engages. Hagley’s library, archival, pictorial, and artifact collections document the history of American business, technology, and society.
