Description
This grant, a collaboration between the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), the American Occupational Therapy Foundation (AOTF), and the American Hand Therapy Foundation (AHTF), funds early-stage research projects that foster strong community partner engagement in hand and upper extremity therapy. The program emphasizes centering community perspectives and priorities to ensure research is relevant, equitable, and impactful. Projects may address health disparities, comparative effectiveness, clinical practice and outcome validation, or orthosis use and biophysical agents. Proposals should empower community partners, include concrete plans for sharing results or sustaining the work, and lay the groundwork for future large-scale studies.
