Description
The Commonwealth Fund’s Harkness Fellowships support midcareer professionals committed to advancing health care policy and practice. Fellows spend 10 to 12 months in the United States conducting research relevant to both the U.S. and their home country, with mentorship from U.S. experts. Projects focus on policy or system-level change in areas including insurance coverage, access to care, care quality and efficiency, and health equity.
Alongside their projects, fellows participate in leadership development and international exchange, gain firsthand understanding of the U.S. health care system, and build relationships intended to support collaboration beyond the fellowship year.
