    Description

Harrington-MSTP at CWRU is a collaboration between Harrington Discovery Institute and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine supporting young physician-scientists whose research could progress from scientific discovery to a medical therapy. The award recognizes students’ own innovative and creative work, with a focus on breakthrough discoveries addressing unmet medical needs.

The program seeks modulators of novel targets and discoveries with strong intellectual property or a protection strategy. Projects may involve small molecules, biologics or other therapeutic modalities; diagnostics and devices should be part of a therapeutic development project. Alongside milestone-driven funding, scholars receive drug development expertise, project management support, and advice on business, commercialization and clinical development. The program also connects scholars with a community of physician-scientist innovators.
