Harry Bikakis Fellowship supports graduate researchers in ancient Greek law and Greek graduate students in ASCSA excavations, funding library research and fieldwork to advance their scholarly work.

Description
The Harry Bikakis Fellowship, administered by the American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA), supports two kinds of graduate work: research on ancient Greek law requiring access to the School’s libraries, and participation by Greek graduate students in excavations conducted by or affiliated with ASCSA. The award supports library-based scholarship and excavation work carried out in residence, with a stipend for travel, living, and research expenses and a waiver of School fees during the supported work.
The fellowship was established by the late Lloyd E. Cotsen, former Chair of the Overseers of the Gennadius Library, to honor Harry Bikakis. Bikakis served as attorney of the American School from 1979 to 1995 and was recognized for his devotion and loyalty to the institution.
