Description
This prestigious internal award, established in 2001 by the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), recognizes a full-time tenured faculty member whose research is highly regarded and demonstrably responsive to Nevada’s community, economic, or scholarly needs. The award is named in honor of the late Nevada Senator Harry Reid and is presented by the university president at the annual Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony each spring. Recipients are selected based on the impact of their research in advancing significant scholarship, addressing pressing social needs within the region, or positively affecting the economic growth and development of Nevada.
