The Harry Reid Silver State Research Award is a prestigious annual recognition for full-time tenured faculty at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) whose research is highly esteemed and addresses the needs of the Nevada community or state. The award, created in honor of the late Senator Harry Reid, celebrates research that directly and positively impacts Nevada’s economic growth and development, addresses relevant social needs in the community or region, or significantly advances scholarship in an academic field. Recipients are recognized at UNLV’s Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony in the spring.
