Description
The Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship Program gives scientists, writers, scholars, public intellectuals, and artists a full academic year to advance an individual project while drawing on Harvard University’s resources. It supports work in the humanities, social sciences, creative arts, nonfiction and journalism, and science, engineering, and mathematics. Fellows join an interdisciplinary community that values conversation across fields.
The Institute welcomes innovative projects addressing pressing social, scientific, or policy issues and engaging audiences beyond academia. Areas of interest include women, gender, and society; work using the Schlesinger Library’s collections; and the Institute’s 2024–2029 focus on academic freedom and connecting across difference. It also welcomes STEM proposals directly affected by federal research funding cuts.
