Description
The Harvard Radcliffe Institute Fellowship Program gives scientists, writers, scholars, public intellectuals, and artists a full academic year to pursue ambitious projects with access to Harvard University’s resources. It welcomes innovative work addressing pressing social, scientific, and policy issues, especially projects that cross disciplinary boundaries and engage audiences beyond academia.
Proposals focused on women, gender, and society or using the Schlesinger Library’s collections are welcome but not required. The Institute’s 2024–2029 focus on academic freedom and connecting across difference invites work on free inquiry, intellectual virtues, diversity of thought, polarization, inequality, religious pluralism, and higher education. It also welcomes constructive challenges to disciplinary orthodoxies, potentially transformative perspectives, and STEM projects directly affected by federal research funding cuts.
