Description
The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) seeks preliminary proposals for competitive Hazardous Fuels–Community Protection grants. Funded by the US Forest Service, the program supports on-the-ground hazardous fuels reduction and restoration of fire-adapted ecosystems on non-federal land adjacent to Forest Service treatment projects. Its objective is to reduce damage to private property if fire crosses from federal land into a community.
Projects must protect a community at risk in the wildland–urban interface and coordinate with nearby federal fuels work. NDF selects pre-proposals for full development and submits final applications for competitive consideration.
