Description
The Utah Department of Health and Human Services’ Health Care Workforce Financial Assistance Program provides educational loan repayment to healthcare professionals who practice in underserved Utah communities. Administered through the Office of Primary Care and Rural Health, it aims to strengthen access to care in rural and other areas with limited healthcare services. Hospitals, clinics, and other practice sites can also apply to participate and attract providers to their communities.
Providers make a three-year service commitment. Participating sites contribute a match in addition to the provider’s salary and benefits. During the award, providers report on patients served and the care they deliver.
