Description
The Health Careers Exploration Program (HCEP) provides grants to California nonprofit organizations to support initiatives that expose underrepresented and disadvantaged individuals to health professions. The program aims to diversify the healthcare workforce by funding conferences, workshops, and hands-on career exploration activities, with a focus on primary care, behavioral health, care for older adults, nursing, oral health, and allied health. HCEP prioritizes programs that are culturally and linguistically responsive and that serve participants from Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and disadvantaged backgrounds.
