Description
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America’s (AAFA) Health Equity initiative, primarily through the Health Equity Advancement and Leadership (HEAL) program, funds and supports local, community-based interventions aimed at eliminating disparities in asthma and allergy outcomes. The program focuses on populations disproportionately affected by asthma—including Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, and low-income communities—by fostering collaborations with local organizations, advancing culturally relevant education, improving healthcare access, and empowering communities to sustainably improve asthma management and quality of life. HEAL grants are designed to support innovative, multi-year projects that combine national leadership with local expertise, prioritizing solutions that are community-driven and measurable in impact.
