Description
The Health in Aging Foundation New Investigator Awards, offered by the American Geriatrics Society (AGS), recognize original research that brings new and relevant insights in geriatrics to the AGS Annual Scientific Meeting. Recognition is based on research presented through a submitted abstract and the investigator’s commitment to a career in aging research.
The awards are open to junior investigators across several health professions. Eligible research spans basic research, clinical investigation, clinical medicine, public health, and fundamental neuroscience. Selection considers originality, scientific merit, research relevance, and the applicant’s commitment to and accomplishments in aging research. The award is part of the AGS annual awards program honoring contributions to high-quality, person-centered care for older adults.
