Description
The la Caixa Foundation's Health Research Call is an annual competitive funding opportunity designed to identify and support outstanding biomedical and health research projects that demonstrate significant scientific excellence and potential for social impact. The program is open to projects in five thematic areas: neuroscience, oncology, cardiovascular and associated metabolic diseases, infectious diseases, and enabling technologies that advance these fields. Both basic and translational research, as well as clinical studies, are eligible.
The call encourages applications from both individual research organizations and multi-institutional consortia, including participation from non-profit civil society organizations (e.g., patient associations). The aim is to foster groundbreaking projects that address major health challenges and contribute meaningfully to scientific advancement and improved health outcomes in society.
