Description
la Caixa Foundation’s tenth Health Research Call supports groundbreaking biomedical and health research addressing major health challenges. It seeks scientific excellence, innovative approaches and results with potential value and social impact, while strengthening the international competitiveness of research in Spain and Portugal. Basic, clinical and translational projects are eligible, and neither research type nor individual versus consortium structure is a selection criterion.
Projects must address neuroscience, oncology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular and associated metabolic diseases, or enabling technologies focused on those four areas. Metabolic research must relate to cardiovascular risks or alterations. The enabling technologies category is for creating and developing technologies, including electronics, computational science, big data, AI, photonics, nanotechnology, biotechnology, advanced materials and manufacturing—not merely using established technologies to investigate disease.
