Key Information: Applicants must be based in the UK or Republic of Ireland and include at least one HIS member.

    Description

The Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) supports events and activities that introduce clinical microbiology, infection prevention and control (IPC), and healthcare-associated infections to the public and non-specialist stakeholders. The programme contributes towards a single event or activity that promotes the science of microbiology in the context of healthcare-associated infections, including activities for children.

Supported formats range from art and popular music to public science festival exhibitions, STEM or STEAM workshops, and awareness activities linked to World Antibiotic Awareness Week or Hand Hygiene Day. Funding can also support event resources and educational materials for subsequent HIS use. Priority is given to events that would not go ahead without HIS support.
