Description
Mother Cabrini Health Foundation’s Healthcare Workforce program invests in a skilled, diverse and resilient workforce to improve access to care across New York State. It supports efforts involving allied health professionals, community-based health workers, direct care workers, nurses, physicians and future healthcare practitioners, with particular attention to people from low-income or underrepresented backgrounds and underserved communities.
The program funds workforce pipelines; education, training and internships for high-demand or evolving roles; and efforts to remove barriers to completing training. It also supports career advancement, retention, worker wellness and technology or other resources that strengthen learning and career development. The foundation works with healthcare systems, educational institutions, professional associations and community-based organizations on these efforts.
