Description
The Healthy Harbor Fund supports initiatives aimed at improving water quality in the Charleston harbor and surrounding environment. Eligible projects may address pollution, environmental changes, climate resilience, and public health implications of coastal flooding. Funding is available for a range of activities, including academic research, data collection, citizen science, education, advocacy, litigation, and narrative creation. Focus areas include plastics, bacteria, emerging contaminants, pesticides, herbicides, marsh and land erosion, climate change, and related community impacts.
