The Community Foundation of Greater New Britain’s Heart of the Community grant program provides funding to nonprofit organizations and qualified entities to support projects and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents in Berlin, New Britain, Plainville, and Southington, Connecticut. The Foundation invests in a wide range of initiatives, including arts, culture, community and economic development, education, and health and human services. Projects that foster collaboration, leverage additional resources, and demonstrate measurable community impact are strongly encouraged. Grants may support direct services, capacity building, staff development, planning, equipment, and technology, among other eligible activities.
