Description
The National Association for Kinesiology in Higher Education (NAKHE) funds original interdisciplinary research that brings kinesiology researchers together with collaborators from different sub-disciplines or fields. The program supports meaningful applied research, including equipment and travel needed to complete a proposed project; it does not fund travel for think tank initiatives.
Proposals must explain how the work crosses disciplinary boundaries and its anticipated impact on the profession, a community, or society. A committee of scholars associated with the Boyer model of scholarship selects recipients. Funded researchers share their findings through written reports and a presentation at NAKHE’s annual conference.
