Description
This funding opportunity from the Helmholtz Association supports collaborative, cross-disciplinary research projects that drive innovation in imaging science. The program is designed to foster partnerships between at least two Helmholtz Centers, with optional involvement of external partners (including industry), to develop novel imaging methods, facilitate methodological transfer across disciplines, and address challenges along the entire imaging pipeline—from data acquisition to knowledge extraction. Projects should be high-risk, high-gain, and promote synergies between imaging modalities and applications. Selected projects receive not only financial support but also extensive scientific and technical consultation, access to advanced computing resources, support for open-source dissemination, and opportunities for sustainable visibility within the Helmholtz Imaging ecosystem.
