Description
Helmholtz Imaging, funded by the Helmholtz Association’s Initiative and Networking Fund (INF), supports collaborative, cross-disciplinary research that advances imaging science and strengthens its connection with information and data science. The program covers the imaging pipeline from data acquisition to knowledge extraction, prioritizing high-risk, high-gain ideas that address imaging challenges across scientific domains and enable methodological innovation.
The call encourages novel imaging methods, synergies across imaging modalities and applications, and method transfer between scientific disciplines. It promotes collaboration across Helmholtz Centers, research fields, and industry, while encouraging projects that empower early-career researchers and young investigator groups.
