Description
The Helmut Schumann Fellowship is a biennial award designed to foster the career development of Dartmouth Health clinicians by supporting projects that expand the boundaries of traditional medicine. The fellowship encourages exploration of the interrelations of mind and body, with a focus on holistic health, healthful living strategies, and innovative approaches that enhance patient wellness, quality of life, and happiness. Rather than supporting conventional medical research, the fellowship is intended for clinicians seeking to develop new educational programs, patient interventions, or teaching strategies in areas such as psychology, nutrition, exercise, hygiene, behavioral and social sciences, and geriatrics. Projects should empower patients to take greater responsibility for their own health and well-being.
