Description
Efficiency Forward Grants from the Alabama Power Foundation help nonprofits and community-based organizations providing health and human services improve the energy efficiency of their facilities. Designed for organizations serving communities within Alabama Power’s service area, the program supports weatherization upgrades that make buildings more efficient, reliable, and cost-effective to operate.
Supported work includes energy-efficient HVAC systems, lighting improvements, insulation, and other facility enhancements that lower energy consumption. The program connects practical building improvements with long-term organizational sustainability: reducing operating costs frees up resources for programs and services benefiting the community. The facilities receiving improvements must be used to provide client services rather than for storage.
