Summary: Supports postdoctoral scholars in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences for research using University of Edinburgh Heritage Collections.
The Heritage Collections Research Fellowships offer postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to conduct in-depth, collections-based research at the University of Edinburgh, engaging with extensive archives, art, manuscripts, rare books, and musical instruments. Fellows benefit from privileged access to the collections and curatorial staff, as well as a dynamic scholarly community at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH). The program encourages work on institutional histories, decoloniality, sustainability, environmental change, and international connections, especially relating to Africa. Fellows are expected to contribute to the Centre for Research Collections through events or projects and to participate fully in the intellectual life of IASH.
