Description
The Hibernian Research Awards support the scholarly study of Irish and Irish American history by scholars across academic disciplines. Administered by the Cushwa Center at the University of Notre Dame, the program provides cash awards for research and writing, whether or not travel is involved.
The awards are funded by an endowment from the Ancient Order of Hibernians and Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians. They are one of six research funding programs administered by the Cushwa Center. Applications should explain the project’s scholarly significance, its relevance to Irish and Irish American history, and its anticipated publications or other scholarly outcomes.
