--- ## Description The High School Achiever Scholarship is designed to honor ambitious high school students who have excelled both academically and holistically. Sponsored by the Charles and Lucile King Family Foundation and administered by Honor Society®, this award recognizes students who demonstrate superior performance in academics, leadership, community service, and personal achievements. The scholarship aims to support students as they pursue their educational and life goals, providing recognition and financial assistance to those who embody excellence across multiple facets of their high school experience. --- ## Due Dates - January 28, 2026: Application deadline (fixed cycle) - Rolling: Monthly application deadlines (applications accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis; students applying earlier have a greater chance of winning) Applicants can submit at any time, but are encouraged to apply early for best consideration. Recipients are typically notified within 3 weeks of the deadline, and public announcements are made within 6 weeks. --- ## Funding Amount - $1,000 per award - No set minimum or maximum number of recipients per cycle; awards are not guaranteed each month or cycle --- ## Eligibility - Open to all high school students; there are no restrictions on grade level or residency, except where prohibited by law - Applicants must be comfortable providing a video and/or written testimonial if selected - No purchase, payment, or Honor Society® membership is required to apply or win - Applicants must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations - Not open to residents of jurisdictions where such programs are restricted or prohibited --- ## Application Process 1. Complete the Honor Society® profile and upload a headshot (free registration required; premium membership not required) 2. Submit an online application including: - Written summary of current academic program and achievements (academic, professional, personal, honors, awards, etc.) - Up to 500 words describing the relevance of achievements to life and/or goals - Current GPA and a copy of current transcript (unofficial transcript accepted for application; official transcript required before disbursement) - Contact information (phone, preferred email, school) 3. Applications are evaluated using a rubric based on academic achievement (GPA, honors, awards) and holistic factors (leadership, community service, etc.) 4. In the event of a tie, the winner is selected at random from tied applicants 5.
