Description
The Highlands Community Fund, administered through the Community Foundation of Western North Carolina (CFWNC), supports charitable projects that improve quality of life in Highlands. The Fund promotes charitable giving and directs resources toward work benefiting local communities and residents, rather than limiting support to a single field.
Requests demonstrating the greatest community benefit receive the highest consideration. The Fund’s advisory committee considers its priorities, the availability of funding for the proposed purposes, applicants’ capabilities, and potential community benefits. Grants support qualified organizations already established in or serving Highlands, with a focus on charitable purposes and local needs.
