The Hillsboro Excellence in Education Fund is an endowment managed by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, created to provide private resources for educational programming that goes beyond the Hillsboro School District’s budget. Established in 2012, the fund is governed by an independent advisory board made up of local citizens who oversee fundraising and determine annual grant and scholarship awards. The fund supports creative and innovative educational initiatives, recognizes outstanding achievement, and encourages community involvement in local schools. In addition to classroom grants, the fund also manages two endowed scholarships for graduating seniors of Hillsboro High School. All awards are made independently of the school board to ensure direct benefit to students and staff.
