Description
The Hitchcock Foundation Student Research Award is designed to foster academic excellence and promote engagement in biomedical research among students at the Geisel School of Medicine and PhD candidates at Dartmouth. The award supports student-led research projects conducted in collaboration with a faculty investigator at either Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center or Dartmouth College. Its aims are to highlight outstanding student research, encourage entry into the biomedical field, and increase awareness of research opportunities.
Awardees receive financial support for research expenses, travel to present research at national meetings, and a cash prize recognizing achievement. Projects may be initiated during an elective period or continue work begun earlier in the student's academic career. The award is structured to accommodate the needs of both the student and their faculty mentor.
