Description
The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) administers this opportunity through the federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program. It supports permanent affordable rental housing and homes for sale, including single-family homes, condominiums, co-ops, and two-family homes with an owner-occupied unit and an affordable rental unit. The program aims to increase housing for low- and very low-income households, strengthen affordable-housing capacity, and encourage private-sector participation.
HOME funds can support construction, rehabilitation, acquisition tied to development, site improvements, and project-related professional and financing costs. Assisted units remain affordable for a minimum period determined by the project type and HOME investment.
