Description
Home Feeds Nevada is a food-purchase program administered by the Nevada Department of Agriculture’s Division of Food and Nutrition. Established by Senate Bill 370 in 2021 and codified in NRS 561.515, it aims to improve Nevada’s food security while creating economic opportunities for Nevada agricultural producers. NDA purchases nutritious foods grown, produced or processed in Nevada for distribution to food-insecure populations through designated food banks.
The July 2026–June 2027 Request for Applications seeks Nevada-based food producers and processors and permits Nevada transportation businesses to apply. The program’s RFQ and online vendor agreement also cover storage and aggregation providers. Purchases depend on available funds and food bank needs, with producers prioritized over processors when product availability allows.
