Description
The Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) supports implementation of state homeland security strategies. Administered in Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency (RIEMA), it addresses identified needs in planning, organization, equipment, training, and exercises.
Funded work is intended to strengthen the ability to prevent and protect against acts of terrorism and other catastrophic events, while improving mitigation, response, and recovery. The program connects those activities to priorities identified in a state strategy as part of a coordinated approach to homeland security and preparedness.
