The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), established by the Research Grants Council, aims to attract outstanding students worldwide to undertake full-time PhD studies at Hong Kong’s leading universities. The scheme fosters academic excellence, research potential, and leadership among doctoral students, and promotes diversity and high standards in research training across a wide range of disciplines. Up to 400 fellowships are awarded annually, supporting a vibrant international research environment within Hong Kong.
