Description
The Mycological Society of America (MSA) offers the Honorary Member Award annually to recognize distinguished senior scientists with sustained, significant contributions to the science of fungal biology. Administered by the society’s Honorary Awards Committee, it honors scientific achievement rather than providing funding for a research project. The committee may choose not to issue an award in a given year.
Recognition includes a plaque presented at the awards ceremony during the MSA annual meeting and lifetime membership. The recipient’s name is published in the annual meeting program and in Inoculum. MSA encourages and welcomes nominations across backgrounds and identities, consistent with its diversity statement.
