This program, organized by the AATS Foundation, offers senior cardiothoracic surgery residents (chief or penultimate year) in North America the opportunity to participate in a full-day, in-person career development seminar at the Cleveland Clinic. The initiative is designed to help participants understand the process of securing their first academic position, develop areas of expertise, and launch their academic careers. Attendees receive mentorship, can join an evening reception and Grand Rounds/OR observation, and benefit from networking with leaders in the field. The program honors three influential Cleveland Clinic surgeons and past AATS Presidents: Delos M. Cosgrove, MD, Floyd D. Loop, MD, and Bruce W. Lytle, MD.
