Description
Hope Funds for Cancer Research offers three-year fellowships for postdoctoral scientists investigating difficult-to-treat cancers. It seeks projects that challenge established ways of understanding cancer causes, mechanisms, progression, disease markers or risk factors. Areas of interest include pancreatic, lung, liver, esophageal, brain, gastric, bone and ovarian cancers; sarcomas; and rare leukemias, lymphomas and MDS.
The foundation’s goal is to support breakthroughs that could increase life expectancy and advance prevention, control or treatment. Its Fellowship Review Committee places particular emphasis on innovation, while also considering a project’s significance and approach, the qualifications of the candidate and sponsor, and the quality of the research environment.
