    Description

The HOT Travel Award is offered through the Society of Toxicology (SOT) and administered by the Hispanic Organization of Toxicologists (HOT). Since 2005, HOT has recognized outstanding students and postdoctoral trainees of Hispanic/Latino origin working in toxicology research. The award helps cover the costs of presenting research and attending the SOT Annual Meeting, rather than financing a separate research project.

Support comes from the HOT Endowment, identified as the Hispanic Organization of Toxicologists Award Fund. Recipients also receive a recognition plaque for their laboratory or office. After the meeting, awardees contribute a short research article to the Trainee Section of HOT’s newsletter, Toxenlaces, providing another opportunity to highlight their work.
