Description
The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) administers the Housing Development Assistance Programs (HDAP) to support the development and preservation of affordable housing in Ohio. Assistance takes the form of grants and loans funded through the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Ohio Housing Trust Fund, and National Housing Trust Fund. HDAP resources are awarded competitively through three programs organized around the other financing a development is seeking.
Housing Credit Gap Financing supplements the annual competitive 9% housing credit round. Bond Gap Financing supports developments combining non-competitive 4% housing credits with multifamily bonds, helping strengthen their financial feasibility. Housing Development Gap Financing supports construction or rehabilitation of small multifamily developments without housing tax credits, including projects with fewer than 25 units that often lack other financing options.
