Description
The Housing Innovation Program, administered by the New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (Housing New Mexico), funds creative, capital-focused housing solutions for low- and moderate-income New Mexicans. The program targets projects that address unmet housing needs not currently served by other state housing programs, with an emphasis on underserved populations and scalable, community-driven approaches. Eligible activities include infrastructure improvements, acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, renovation, and repair of residential or affordable housing facilities. Past projects include roof repair programs, shelter expansions, accessibility improvements, and transitional housing for workforce integration participants.
