Description
The Housner Fellows Program, established by the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), is a two-year leadership development initiative for early to mid-career professionals in earthquake engineering and seismic risk reduction. The program is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders who will advocate for and implement strategies to reduce earthquake risk and promote public safety. Fellows participate in a week-long immersive Housner Institute, collaborate on group projects addressing public policy and seismic risk reduction, and benefit from ongoing mentorship with leaders in the field. Activities include regular meetings, community policy development, and opportunities to present at EERI Annual Meetings.
