This award, offered by the Holodomor Research and Education Consortium (HREC) under the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, supports the development of innovative, creative, and interactive lesson plans for grades K-12 on the Holodomor—the Ukrainian genocide of 1932-33. The program aims to advance critical thinking and historical literacy among students while highlighting the Holodomor's significance in human rights, history, and social justice education.
