HTMlles 2026 – On a Human Scale is the 16th edition of the feminist media arts and digital culture festival organized by Ada X in Montréal. The festival is dedicated to fostering digital spaces that prioritize care, agency, and collective responsibility, resisting extractive digital models and imagining technological futures rooted in inclusivity, equity, and shared governance. Artists, researchers, technologists, and collectives are invited to submit projects that address themes such as AI, digital activism, privacy, alternative infrastructures, slow tech, and the material impact of technology. The festival seeks to support community-centered, open-source, and decentralized approaches while celebrating the role of artists and activists in reclaiming and reshaping digital landscapes.
