Description
The Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society (HTRS) Mentored Research Award supports clinical and postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty pursuing research careers under experienced mentors. It funds clinical, translational, basic science, qualitative, and mixed methods research with substantial relevance to hemostasis or thrombosis. Topics include bleeding disorders, venous thromboembolism, arterial thrombosis, thrombotic microangiopathy, uterine hemostasis, and hemostasis in other diseases.
The program is a pre-K career development award: a stepping stone, entry point, or re-entry opportunity toward NIH or Canadian Institutes of Health Research funding. It aims to strengthen the U.S. and Canadian classical hematology research workforce, pair early-career investigators with experienced mentors, and prepare recipients for larger awards such as K08, K23, or equivalent funding.
