This annual bursary, funded by the Trustees of the French Huguenot Church of London Charitable Trust and administered through the Institute of Historical Research (IHR), supports historians at any career stage who are researching any aspect of the history of French, Dutch, Flemish, or Walloon Protestants (Huguenots) from the 16th century to the present, in any geographical area. The bursary is intended to facilitate a period of archival research that will result in a publication or the completion of a doctoral thesis. Recipients may use IHR facilities in London, are expected to contribute a short piece to the IHR’s On History Blog, and must acknowledge the funding in their resulting publications.
