Key Information: Applicants must reside/work outside the U.S. and Canada and have an accepted annual-meeting abstract.

    Description

The Human Biology Association’s International Committee offers this travel award to help international members attend the association’s annual meetings. It supports conference participation rather than research projects directly, enabling members to present papers or posters and take part in scientific sessions. Support covers airfare and other travel expenses to and from the meeting that are not covered by other sources, such as university professional development funds.

The HBA Executive Committee reviews applications with attention to application quality, career stage, economic need, travel distance and costs, and support from other sponsors. The program generally prioritizes student first authors, junior faculty and researchers, and applicants from low- to middle-income economies.
