Description
The MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC) is a major internal funding initiative supporting innovative, human-centered research and teaching that bridges the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) with other disciplines at MIT. MITHIC’s suite of funds—primarily the SHASS+ Connectivity Fund and the Humanities Cultivation Fund—aims to deepen understanding of humanity, foster interdisciplinary leadership, and address global challenges through transformative, collaborative scholarship. Funding is available for both full-scale research proposals and smaller planning grants, with an emphasis on projects that demonstrate clear impact, feasibility, and strong cross-disciplinary collaboration.
